Chikkodi soldier martyred in Anantnag encounter

Belagavi: An Indian Army soldier, hailing from Belagavi was martyred during an encounter with terrorists at Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir on late Monday, November 26 night.
The soldier, Bhojraj (28) alias Prakash Pundlik Jadhav from Budihal village in Chikkodi taluk, Belagavi district was successful in killing one terrorist before attaining martyrdom.
Upon hearing the news of Bhojraj’s death, all the villagers gathered at his house to pay condolence to his family.
As per family sources, Bhojraj’s mortal remains will be brought to his village on Wednesday, November 28 for last rites.
It is gathered that Bhojaraj was serving the Indian army from 2007. He was posted at Anantnag few months ago. He had visited his family recently for Deepavali to meet his two-month-old daughter Shravani for the first time.
Bhojraj is survived by father Pundlik, mother Sharada, wife Rani and two-month-old daughter.
