Chitradurga: Three people were killed in a serial vehicle collision near Javanagondanahalli in Hiriyuru taluk on Monday.

The collision occurred between a canter, a car and an SUV.

A couple in the SUV, Nemiraj (58) and Nanda (53), and the driver of the canter Ranga (35) died as the result of injuries sustained in the collision.

Two other injured have been admitted to Hiriyuru Taluk Hospital.

Nemiraj and Nanda were travelling to Bengaluru from Chitradurga in their SUV when they collided with the canter going to Pune.

It was reported that a diversion and a steep rise on the road at Javanagondanahalli makes vehicles on one side not see vehicles coming from the other direction causing repeated accidents here.
