Clues Traced after Student from Bagalkot Found Missing in Germany

Hamburg/Bagalkot: Clues including a hand written letter in Kannada, cycle and footwear have been taken into custody by the investigators in connection with Bagalkot based student’s missing case in Germany. Manjuntah (28) from Bagalkot moved to Hamburg in Germany for higher studies and reportedly went missing after June 18. His missing came to light when his members of family in Bagalkot failed to contact him after last Saturday. Following unexpected developments, close relatives of the youth filed a complaint in the local police station and contacted the India consulate office in Germany for further details.
A hand written letter in Kannada language found in his hostel room whereas a pair of footwear and a cycle found near Berg River in Hamburg on Wednesday. The student reportedly abandoned his cell phone at his room before he moved out.
Roommate of Manjunath found the letter and the letter would be brought to India from Germany to obtain further details, said Bagalkot district superintendent of police CB Rishyanth. The youth was pursuing his MS in Germany and had been residing at Hamburg city for the last 1.5 years.
