Complete lockdown in DK for seven days starting from July 15 midnight: Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru: District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Monday, July, 13 informed that a week’s lockdown will be imposed in the district starting from Wednesday, July 15 midnight.
Speaking with this regard Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “After holding a video conference meeting with Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa the district administration has decided to impose a one-week lockdown in the district starting from Wednesday, July 15 midnight in order to control the virus spread.”
“I request all the citizens of the district to buy all the essential items within Wednesday,” he added.
Poojary further informed that the lockdown guidelines will be announced by the district administration at the earliest
The tally of positive coronavirus cases in the Dakshina Kannada district rose to 2,230 with further 196 people testing positive for the infection on July 12.
The new cases include 20 primary contacts, 91 ILI cases 16 SARI cases, 10 overseas travelers. Two tested positive in pre-delivery samples while contact tracing is on for 57 persons.
