Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President DK Shivakumar and Bengaluru Rural Member of Parliament DK Suresh distributed groceries to 10,000 distressed families in Bangalore South on Sunday, April 12.

Karnataka Congress posted an update on the grocery distribution on its official Twitter handle.

R K Ramesh, G Krishnappa, BBMP members and local leaders were present.

Earlier, DK Suresh and Kunigal Member of Parliament Ranganath had bought agricultural products from farmers in Bengaluru Rural and distributed among people.

This move from Congress came after the nation-wide lockdown which led to shutdown of Agricultural produce market committee, and markets.

Many farmers have been dumping the agricultural products as they are unable to sell the products.
