Bengaluru: The Congress on Monday cautioned the BJP against making any attempts to fan mutual pressures in Karnataka over allowing minority status to the Lingayat people group.
Speaking to the media persons Congress representative Randeep Singh Surjewala said “On the off chance that the BJP tries to fan mutual pressures, such attempts will be managed according to law,” He said the Karnataka government had taken after all the due procedures of law and inspected cases and counter case on the issue of allowing religious minority status to the Lingayat people group.
Surjewala dared Karnataka BJP president B S Yeddyurappa and BJP president Amit Shah to clear up their situation on the Lingayat issue.
“Are you for the decision, or are you against this decision,” he questioned the BJP and charged it from staying mum for the fear of losing voters.
