Congress engaging in hate politics: Kateel

BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday accused the Congress of engaging in hate politics.

He said that the Congress government has canceled the job given to Nutan Kumari, the wife of the deceased BJP activist Praveen Nettar, despite it being granted on compassionate grounds. Kateel declared that they will provide jobs through alternative means if the government fails to do so.

During a press conference Kateel said, “Their election promise of providing free guarantees remains unfulfilled, and the guidelines for the promised schemes have not been released yet. If the implementation of the free declaration does not commence within a month, the BJP will stage protests across the state.”

He further said, “Five free schemes have been pending for over 20 days, and government employees and individuals collecting electricity bills have faced physical assault. The Congress is indulging in hate politics rather than resolving problems faced by the people.”

“An FIR has been filed against Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja, and cases have been registered against BJP workers who were assaulted. Congress workers have attacked and even killed BJP activists,” he opined.

Regarding the job withdrawal for Praveen Nettar’s wife, Kateel urged, “Reinstate her employment on compassionate grounds. If the Congress fails to take action, the BJP will ensure she is offered a job in the central NMPT (New Mangalore Port Trust).”
