Bengaluru: Congress leaders filed a complaint with the Election Commission demanding action against PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and BS Yeddyurappa for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

The complaint states that the BJP party has violated the norms by publishing advertisements in leading newspapers and TV channels by making baseless allegations against CM Siddaramaiah.

“10 per cent commission Sarkara, makes Karnataka Corruption #1”.

“These allegations claim that the Congress party has not worked towards the betterment of the people,” they said.

Complaint was also raised against an advertisement where in the CM is shown wearing an expensive golden watch and handing expensive gifts to voters.

Following the complaint, the appellate of the Election Commission convened to hear out the complaints.
