Cop on night duty killed in road accident

Byndoor: An on-duty police constable was killed in a road accident on NH 66 of Udupi district here in the wee hours of Thursday, November 15.
The deceased Nagesh Billava is attached to the Byndoor police station and was posted on night duty when the accident took place.
Reportedly Nagesh’s bike rammed into a stationary truck near the national highway at Kambadakone. Nagesh suffered serious injuries in the collision and is said to have died of severe bleeding.
It is gathered that Nagesh had entered into matrimony just five months ago.
SP Laxman Nimbargi and Byndoor police station personnel visited the spot.
