Cops arrest two more accused in Deepak Rao murder case

Mangaluru: Police have arrested two more in connection with brutal murder of BJP member Deepak Rao.

The police had earlier nabbed four accused in the case and later gathered more information on the same and arrested the two more recently.

The arrested have been identified as Abdul Azeez alias Azeez (42) and Abdul Azeem alias Azeem (34), from Katipalla.

Deepak Rao was hacked to death in broad daylight on January 3.

The police who learnt of the involvement of some more people in the case and formed a special team that has now succeeded in arresting Azeez and Azeem.

Panambur inspector Rafiq and CCB police personnel led by inspector Shantharam were part of the arrest operation.
