Couple arrested for the murder of Shreemathi’s murder

Mangaluru: A couple from Attavar has been arrested for the brutal murder of Shreemathi Shetty. It is learnt that financial dealing was the motive for the murder.
The accused couple is identified as Jonas Julias Samson (36), son of Francis Samson, a resident of seminary compound, BV road, Attavar and his wife Victoria Mathias (46) from Attavar.
Of the accused, Jonas had taken a loan from the victim and had paid back some amount. The victim had requested Jonas to pay the remaining amount but he failed to pay it back.
The murder
On 11th May 2019, the victim went to the residence of the accused in the morning with the aim to collect the remaining loan amount. On the occasion, the accused attacked the victim with weapons and murdered her.
Vehicle seized
In the backdrop of lack of information regarding the accused in the murder, the police made use of different technologies, conducted investigation and successfully arrested the accused. The police have seized the two-wheeler used to transport the corpse, 8 golden rings and a golden chain.
