Covid-19: 84 new cases & three deaths reported in DK

Mangaluru: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada district rose to 823 with further 84 persons testing positive for the infection on Wednesday, July 1.

Three fatalities reported today took the death toll in the district to 17. This includes two deaths due to non-covid issues.

A 79-year old patient from Bhatkal became the 17th fatality in the district today. As reported earlier, a 78-year-old man from Bengre and 31-year-old from Bhatkal passed away in the morning.

Of the 823 cases, in the district presently 372 cases are active.

In Udupi, 22 new cases took total positive cases to 1228. Out of this 1058 persons have been discharged and 168 cases are active.
