Covid-19: B’luru has 75% more active cases than Delhi, twice as many cases as Mumbai

Bengaluru: Bengaluru reported an all-time single-day high of 17,342 Covid-19 cases and 149 deaths on Saturday, April 24 making up nearly 60% of the daily infections and over 70% of deaths in the state.

It now has the highest active cases in the country, its active cases are higher than two of the worst-hit cities in India, New Delhi and Mumbai.

As of Saturday, Bengaluru has 1,62,171 are active cases, while Mumbai has 78,775 active Covid-19 cases and New Delhi has 93,080 active cases.

CM BS Yediyurappa said the Centre has increased the state’s daily allocation of oxygen from 300MT to 800MT and Remdesivir from 50,000 vials to 1.22 lakh vials till April 30.
