Covid-19: ‘Zero’ cases in Udupi; DK reports 23 new cases today

Mangaluru/Udupi: Dakshina Kannada reported 23 new cases as on Thursday, June 18. Neighbouring Udupi district on the other hand, reported zero cases today.
Among the new cases in Dakshina Kannada today, 21 are Saudi returnees while the other two are contacts of a person infected earlier.
According to the state health bulletin, 401 positive cases have been confirmed in Dakshina Kannada of which 242 cases are active. The district has reported eight fatalities till date.
Out of the 1039 positive cases in Udupi 942 persons have recovered while 96 cases remain active. One death has occurred in district so far.
