Davanagere: Miscreants assaulted the close aide of BJP MLA MP Renukacharya in Honnali here late Monday night.
The victim Prajwal has been admitted to the Honnali taluk hospital.
The legislator from Honnali, who is also the political secretary to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai visited Prajwal in the hospital to enquire about his health.
While the reason for the assault is not known, it is suspected that Prajwal was attacked over a dispute that took place during the Ganapati immersion ceremony.
