Bengaluru: If soon there is no decision taken on bringing the dominant Veerashaiva-Lingayat community under the central list of other backward classes (OBC), we will protest, said, Basavajayamrityunjaya swamiji of Lingayat Panchamasali Peetha at Koodalasangama

Speaking at a Press Conference, he said, “ There are 106 sections in Lingayat. Out of which 32 are under OBC and the remaining 76 must be included under the list. A commission must be formed for this purpose”

“We have been demanding OBC reservation for 25 years. On October 28, we did a hunger strike along with the members of the community. Now our demand is being fulfilled. Soon we will get  reservation,” he added
