Udupi: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Friday said that the Centre’s decision to repeal the farm laws had nothing to do with the upcoming elections.
He further said, ” The acts were tabled for the benefit of the farmers and agricultural market committees. The acts are likely to be revised and re-introduced. There is no concept of defeat in a democracy. Earlier too several acts were modified.”
“The act was passed with good intentions and they are being repealed with good intentions. However, I will respond to the developments after studying the entire issue in detail,” he added.
