Devotees entry banned at Kukke Subramanya from December 17-20

Mangaluru: As a precautionary measure to check the spread of Covid-19, devotees wont be allowed to take part in Champa Shashti rituals at Sri Kukke Subramanya temple from December 17-20.

Devotees who have registered for Rathotsava Seves in advance can take part in rituals like Chouthi, Panchami and Shashti Rathotsava, said Dakshina Kannada District Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra.

As per the guidelines, no tourists/devotees shall be allowed in the ratha beedi and temple premises. The Deputy Commissioner, who is also chairman of District disaster management authority warned that those violating the ban shall be booked under the provisions of Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Ordinance (2020).
