Dharwad: AYUSH officer works till midnight on last day of work

Dharwad: A District AYUSH Officer was on duty till the last minute of his retirement day as he haded over the duty on Sunday, May 31 at 12 am.

Dr. Sangamesh Kalhala had the idea of paying the government’s debt until the end as he handed over his office to the next officer at exactly 12 am.

Dr Kalahala said that as per employment rules, one day consists of 24 hours. During emergencies, they might have to work at any time of the day. If there is any retirement or transfer day is on a public holiday, the retirement or transfer can be conducted a day earlier.
