‘Disproportionate assets’: Lokayukta raids properties of govt officials

Shivamogga: Karnataka Lokayukta conducted raids in various parts of the state on Wednesday morning. The raids were related to allegations of disproportionate assets amassed by government officials, sources said.

In Shivamogga, Lokayukta sleuths conducted searches art Shravati Nagar, Shettihalli, and Shikaripura.

Properties belonging to the chief engineer of the Tunga Upper Bank Project Prashant, and District Panchayat Engineer Shankar Naik in Shikaripura were raided.

In Hanur, raids were conducted at the farmhouse at Ajjeepura village purportedly belonging to Shivashankar Murthy, who is currently working as Senior Sub-Registrar in Nanjangudu.

The premises of Koppal KRIDL Engineer Sharanappa Chincholikar were also inspected by the Lokayukta officials.
