DK breaches 5k mark with 173 new cases, 4 more deaths reported

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada reported 173 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, July 28 taking the total tally of those infected to 5103 in the district.

Out of total positive cases, 2338 persons have been discharged so far. This includes 41 discharges today. Presently 2632 cases are active in the district.

Till date 35,081 samples have been tested and 29,978 of this has tested negative.

The new cases include 21 primary contacts, 91 ILI cases, 22 SARI cases, and one international traveller. The source of infection for 38 persons is being probed.
