Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district city bus owners association proposed to increase ticket fares in the city buses plying within the district.

The fares are likely to increase for up to ten percent, the new fares will be applicable from next week.

Aziz Parthipadi, President of the association clarified that “The hike is due to an increase in the diesel prices. Tax, insurance, prices of spare parts, oil, tyre, and other items have also gone up, the only way to cope with the changes is to hike the bus fare,”
