DK district receives 2nd batch of COVID-19 vaccine

Mangaluru: The second batch of the Covishield vaccine reached the Dakshina Kannada district’s health department on Tuesday afternoon.
A total of 42,320 doses of the vaccine were received at the regional vaccine storage centre here from where the vaccines for Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts will be shipped to their respective district health departments later.
Udupi district will receive 11,900 vaccines and Chikkamagaluru district will receive 6,470 vaccines from the total arrived here.
In the first phase, 24,500 vaccines were sent to the Dakshina Kannada district.
