DK receives 3,400 doses of Covishield vaccine; People waiting for second dose to be prioritized

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada received 3,400 doses of the Covishield vaccine on Friday, May 7 which will now speed up the vaccination process in the district
However, Covaxin vaccine is expected to arrive after Monday, May 10.
Around 380 doses were supplied to Wenlock hospital and government health centres at Moodbidri, Suratkal and Mulki were supplied 200 doses and Ullal health centre was supplied 180 doses The taluk hospitals were given 500 doses each.
It is said that the vaccination camp will be held from 10 am to 4 pm.
On Friday, 632 people received the vaccination, out of which 54 people above the age of 60 received the first dose and 284 people received the second dose.
Also, 92 people in the age group of 45 to 60 received the first dose and 130 people received the second dose.
