Do not announce second PUC results: K’taka HC to state govt

Bengaluru: In a major development, the Karnataka High Court has directed the state Education department not to release the second PUC results.

The Karnataka High Court was hearing the plea with regard to the passing of all II PUC students (freshers) based on the marks obtained in the first PUC class, but without extending the same benefit to repeaters and private students.

The Bench questioned “You don’t mind risking the life of private and repeater students? Everybody’s health should be protected, if repeaters and private students must take the exam the fresher students should also take it.”

While hearing the case the bench ordered the State Government to submit a detailed report in this regard within 15 days after discussing with the expert panel.

The court then directed the government not to announce the second PUC results until the issue is sorted.
