Doctor strangled to death at residence near Kushalnagar

Madikeri: A doctor who ran a private a clinic at Kushalnagar was found murdered at his residence in Bylakuppe near Kushalnagar on Sunday, December 9. The deceased has been identified as Dr Dilip (45), originally from Chikkamagaluru and was a bachelor.
Apparently, Dr Dilip stayed alone. As per usual, when the maid, who stayed nearby, visited the house, she found the doctor dead with his hands tied behind his back and his mouth closed with plasters. Some chili powder was also found spread on the floor nearby.
Periyapatna DySP Pradeep, Mysuru superintendent of police Amith Singh visited the place with other police personnel. No items have been stolen from the house.
It is suspected that the doctor was strangled to death. A case has been registered with Bylakuppe police and the investigation is in progress.
