Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao met Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi to discuss the tension situation escalating between the coalition partners in the Karnataka state government.
As per the media reports, Siddaramaiah during the meeting explained that most Congress workers in the state felt that both Janata Dal (Secular) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and Mr Kumaraswamy could not be trusted.
Thought Rahul gave Siddaramaiah and Dinesh Gundurao a patient hearing, Rahul did not seem convinced about the sinister design of the Deve Gowda family to finish the Congress party in the old Mysuru region and cautioned them instead of against making any move that could destabilise the coalition, going by sources.
It is gathered that Rahul has sent the leaders back with the advice to no to escalate tensions at this juncture.
