Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Rajendra K V, has asked people to not panic about delay in second dose of Covid-19 vaccination and that it can be administered even after six to eight weeks.
DC further said, ” As the district is facing a shortage of Covid-19 vaccines, several are waiting to receive their second dose of vaccination. Currently, Covaxin supply is limited and people will be informed once the stock arrives. Also, those who are yet to receive Covishiled second dose will be informed to visit the center soon”
All must take online appointments for the first dose of vaccine, there is no scope for on the spot registration for vaccination. Appointments will be given as per the availability of vaccination. A message will be sent by the concerned hospital or health centre after which people can go to take the vaccination,” he said.
