Dr. Subhash C. Yaragal assumes role as Deputy Director at NITK Surathkal

Surathkal: Dr. Subhash C. Yaragal, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, has taken charge as the Deputy Director of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal on August 1.

A renowned academic and experienced administrator, Prof. Yaragal’s new role is a notable addition to the institute’s leadership.

Joining NITK Surathkal in 1996, Prof. Yaragal has played a pivotal role in the institute’s growth and development. Over the years, he has held several key administrative positions, including Member of the Board of Governors, Dean (Planning & Development), and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.

Prof. Yaragal’s educational background is rooted in NITK Surathkal, where he completed his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering in the year 1987. He pursued higher education at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, earning his Master’s and Doctoral degrees. The director, functionaries, staff and the entire NITK Family congratulated Prof. Yaragal on his esteemed appointment.
