Drive against cars with tinted windows

Mangaluru: The city traffic police launched a special drive against tinted glasses on cars and vehicles plying without registration plates on March 1. The drive was launched in response to a complaint from a caller regarding the same issue during the phone-in programme on Friday.
Close to 143 cases were booked against motorists for violating the tinted glass rule on Friday, March 2. The drive continued on Saturday and 14 vehicles were seized by the police for rule violation.
A total fine of Rs 14,300 was collected during the drive, informed the police department.
