Mangaluru: City police on Tuesday, July 16 conducted surprise checks at several paying guest accommodations in the city to check for usage of drugs.
The police, under the leadership of City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil, has been cracking down on drug menace in the city and the surprise checks were a part of this drive.
The police personnel advised inmates against use of drugs during the surprise check.
