Drug peddlers arrested, cocaine seized

Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) based on a definite tip off nabbed five cocaine peddlers and seized cocaine worth Rs. 50,000.
The arrested peddlers have been identified as Vijesh Kumar (34), trader, resident of Kunjathur, Manjeshwar, Nithin (35), gym trainer, residing at Narimogaru, Puttur, Santhosh Kumar (36), real estate dealer, residing at Exotica Apartment, Bejai church road, Sandeep Kumar (35), driver working abroad, residing in KHB colony, Bondel, and Rahul (26), real estate dealer from Bikarnakatte.
According to police sources, the accused were bringing the contraband from Goa and selling it to people in Mangaluru. The police seized items of total value Rs. 19,57,000 including three cars, seven mobile phones and Rs 1,02,000 from the accused.
It is said that the accused have sold cocaine to several people in Mangaluru and police are carrying investigation in this connection.
