Drunk students arrested for assaulting policemen on-duty

Bengaluru: The Halasur police, on Tuesday captured four students of a private college for a assaulting on two policemen while they were on patrol duty late Saturday night. 

According to the police, cops – Nagaraj M.K. and, Madhu H.S. had approached the students who were creating disturbance near MG Mall at 1 in the night here in an drunken state and requesting that they leave the place. Nonetheless, the students began misbehaving with the cops, and one of them bent Nagaraj’s arm, while the others beat up Madhu. They even tore the uniforms of the policemen. 

The duo at that point called the police back up and the students recognized as Somesh P.S., Shushant, Tanish Adarat, and Nadeem were arrested under Indian Penal Code areas 332 and 353. A medical examination has affirmed that the students were under the influence of alcohol. 

In spite of the fact that the sections are non-bailable, the students were released on bail to write their examinations, said a police official.
