E-commerce delivery agent molests woman, case filed

Bengaluru: Police are looking for a delivery agent who allegedly attempted to molest a woman while delivering her order in Bengaluru’s Garudacharpalya area.
The accused identified as Arun went absconding after the incident.
As per the complaint, lodged by the victim, she had placed a cash on delivery order through a leading e-commerce platform. The delivery agent came to deliver the same at 10 am. The victim said that she tried to do online payment but as it failed due to network issue she went inside to check her WiFi connection. Meanwhile as the deliver boy requested to use the washroom she allowed him to do so on humanitarian grounds.
When the boy came out he tried to misbehave with her and forcibly hugged her. The victim later ran out of the house and screamed for help.
The police have booked a case against the accused under sections 354A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
