Bengaluru: In a brutal incident, an elderly man was hacked to death on Friday, March 1 by unidentified miscreants in Channanaya kanapalya.

The deceased is identified as Nagappa (75).

Reportedly, the incident took place around 7.45 AM but it came to light on at 11 AM when Nagappa’s wife sent their servant in search of Nagappa when he did not return even after hours. When the servant went to the farm, he found Nagappa’s body lying in a pool of blood.

The gold chain worn by the deceased was found at the spot, this indicates that the murder was not for robbery, informed sources.

It is also suspected that the fight over land could be the reason behind the murder.

The police have registered a case with this regard and are suspecting Nagappa’s relatives for the murder.
