Election: Preparatory meeting

Mangaluru: in order to inspect if the nodal officers associated with the election were conducting their functions within their designated timelines, a meeting was conducted under the leadership of the District Election Officer Sasikanth Senthil on Saturday.  

During the meeting, discussions were held in connection to the violation of the election model code of conduct, provision of money and gifts, ballot paper and EDC (Election Duty Certificate) to provide an opportunity for everyone to vote.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials of the Labour Department to coordinate with the SVEEP committee representatives to provide facility to disabled voters. Additional Deputy Commissioner R. Venkatachalapathy and other divisional nodal officers took participated in the meeting.

The DC visited the Media Monitoring Cell (MMC) created at the DC’s office and conducted an inspection.
