Bengaluru: K S Eshwarappa, Minister of State for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj of Karnataka on Friday lashed out at former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for asking account of donations received for Ram Mandir stating that any person who has donated Rs. 10 for the cause can ask for the accounts.

”Siddaramaiah called the place allocated to Ram Mandir a controversial site, disrespecting Supreme Court’s verdict. He even said that he wouldn’t donate any money for the construction of the temple. Siddaramaiah claimed he won’t donate for the Mandir cause then who is he to ask for accounts? Let the man who donated Rs. 10 ask for accounts,” Eshwarappa said.

On former CM HD Kumaraswamy’s remarks that the houses which made donations have been marked, Eshwarappa said, ” Show me the houses in Raichur that have been marked?” He further appealed to stop talking so lowly about Lord Ram.

Speaking about the accusations made by MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, the RDPR Minister said “How can I comment anything about his accusations, as Yatnal isn’t present here nor is Vijayendra.”

A showcause notice has been sent to Yatnal and he shall answer all the questions related to his accusation, he added.

Informing that no one in the Cabinet has objected to the reservations for the Panchamasali caste, Eshwarappa said that the report would be presented in the presidency of retired judges.
