Finance Minister Sitharaman arrives in Udupi; Begins 3-day state tour

Manipal: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Udupi-Manipal on Friday night for a three-day state tour.

The Finance Minister will address the convocation ceremony of T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI). Priot to that the minister will be inaugurating the Sri Vishwa Tirtha Dhama at Kukkikatte.

This is Nirmala Sitharaman’s maiden visit to Udupi-Manipal since she became the finance minister.

Coincidentally, Sitharaman delivered a lecture titled “Does India need good politicians or good political parties” at the TA Pai Memorial Series lecture series in 2013.

The minister’s itinerary 

– Visit and worship at Sri Krishna Math on Saturday mornings at 6 AM

– Visit and worship at Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple at 9.30 AM

– Inauguration of Sri Vishwa Tirtha Seva Dhama at Kukkikattu at 2.30 pm.

– TAPMI convocation ceremony at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty hall at 4 pm
