Gallantry award for Tumkur’s army man

Tumkuru: A native of Tumkuru M. Sadik who is serving in the Indian Army at Jammu-Kashmir’s Ananthnag district, has been honoured with the Gallantry award on the Republic Day.
Sadik was selected for the award as he had encountered three terrorists in October last year. Sadik had joined Indian Army in 2004 and is currently serving in the Kashmir’s Kulgam National Rifle 1 Battalion.
Father D.Mohammed Saleem, and mother Sirajunnisa are overwhelmed by their’s son’s achievement, informed sources.
