Good rain is nature’s answer to Cauvery issue: HD Kumaraswamy

Mysuru: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who offered puja at Talacauvery and ‘bagina’ at Kabini reservoir and Krishnaraja Sagar on Friday, said abundant rain had conveyed relief to the people of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and portrayed the current circumstance as “nature’s answer” to the issues looked by the two States over sharing of waters.
The four major dams in the Cauvery basin, including the Krishnaraja Sagar, have reached their full-repository level after eight years.
Mr. Kumaraswamy had offered ‘bagina’ to the Cauvery at the KRS on July 20, 2007, when he was heading the JD(S)– BJP coalition government.
He said he would likewise be going to Tungabhadra, Almatti, and Narayanpur reservoir, which have additionally achieved their full capacity, to offer ‘bagina’ in the near future.
