Government school teachers banned from using cell phones in school hours

Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction has issued a circular requiring a restriction on the utilization of cell phones by government teachers in the state during school hours. 

The circular comes in the midst of rising worries over the uncontrolled utilization of cell phones by teachers. While the request isn’t new, it has been refreshed to hold deans and headmistresses of government schools in charge of guaranteeing that teachers don’t utilize telephones amid school hours.

The headmistress will be tasked with taking appropriate action to make sure that no teacher utilizes cell phones in schools. In case any school fails to implement this rule, the the headmaster/mistress will be held responsible”, the circular states. 

It likewise expressed that students will now have to raise a complaint to the Block Education Officer (BEO) when they see any teacher utilizing their cell phones in the classroom. They can likewise report to their particular headmaster or headmistress observe someone breaching the rule.
