Govt employee attempts suicide in Ajjarkad

Udupi: A government employee who worked as a surveyor at Handadi village, Brahmavar attempted suicide near the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Ajjarkad here on the evening of Sunday July 28.
In a death note found on his person, he said that he was voluntarily committing suicide since he was fed up with the frustration at the office. However, the victim was rescued in the nick of the time and admitted into the government hospital at Ajjarkadu by social worker, Vishu Shetty.
The victim was later shifted to Manipal hospital for further treatment. Apparently his condition is said to be serious.
