Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday announced the extension of domestic airfares cap, earlier announced till November 24, by three months.

Puri said if the scheduled domestic flights reach pre-COVID levels by the end of the year, he will have no hesitation in removing the fare limits at that time.

Flights are categorised under seven sections depending upon flight durations, ranging from under 40 minutes to 180-210 minutes. The base minimum airfare of flights ranges from ₹2,000 to ₹6,500 and maximum ranges from ₹6,000 to ₹18,600.
