The arrested id identified as Yateesh Kumar of Kaidala village, who has been teaching science at a government high school in Tumakuru.

Reportedly, Yateesh used to pass lewd remarks at a few students and asked them inappropriate questions. Though the students complained to other teachers about his behaviour school authorities failed to act on the complaints.
