Haleyangadi: Miraculous escape for passengers after car falls into Nandini river

Haleyangadi: Two passengers had a miraculous escape after the car they were travelling in fell into a river near Pavanje Bridge on National Highway 66

It is said that while Katipalla resident Ashraf and his friend were travelling back from Pavanje, their car plunged into Nandini river. Ashraf and his friend swam through the river and reached the shore

Locals immediately came to their rescue and informed the police officials. Suratkal Traffic police visited the spot. A  crane was used to hoist the car out of the river
