Hamsalekha conferred S Janaki Award

Kundapura: Noted music composer and lyricist Hamsalekha was conferred the S Janaki Award by Manasmita Foundation at Koteshwara’s Uva Meridian.
As part of the felicitation ceremony, a music concert with multiple singers was also organised at the Opera Park in Uva Meridian.
Hamsalekha thanked the organisers for the awards and reminisced his association with S Janaki saying that it was she spotted his talent making him prosper in southern India’s movie industry.
The Award was instituted by the two sons of S Janaki.
He also said that this award is more special to him than the Bharat Ratna.
Also, the Manasmita Foundation National Award was conferred at the event to Dr B N Gangadhar, a well-known psychiatrist and Padma Shri awardee.
Prashant A Kunder, Director, Geetananda Foundation, Uday Kumar Shetty, Director, Uva Meridian, Savita P Tolar and Neha S Poojary, Directors, Manamsita Foundation and others were the chief guests.
