Alur: Two children were injured in a small explosion after they hit with stone a gelatin stick piece they found while playing near Vatehole reservoir at Channahalli village.
The children sustained injuries to their faces and were rushed to a private hospital in Hassan town by locals.
Police Inspector BG Kumar said two years ago workers working at the Yettinahole project had built a temporary shed in the Channahalli village nearby to store gelatin sticks. Some of the sticks might have been accidentally left there.
