Bengaluru: In response to Opposition Leader B.S. Yeddyurappa’s attacks on the coalition government and its Ministers, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said that Yeddyurappa had used impolite words and wrong information in his speech. He also ridiculed Yeddyurappa’s speech saying that it sounded like a rehearsal for a drama company.
He attacked Yeddyurappa’s comment that Congress leader Siddaramaiah was sidelined in the presence of the Congress high command. He retorted that in Delhi no one acknowledged the presence of Yeddyurappa. He further said the behaviour of Yeddyurappa was demeaning to the position of the Leader of the Opposition.
Kumaraswamy also alleged that the Central government had created a false document, according to which he had a company in Malaysia with which he was minting money. “First time in the country’s history, the Centre has been systematically using IT/ED to target opposition,” he said. Nevertheless, he said that he would not crumble under the pressure of such threats.
