Heavy rains: Two children killed in wall collapse in Subramanya

Subramanya: Two children were reportedly killed after a portion of the compound wall collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Parvathamukhi, Kadaba.

The heavy rains that are lashing in the district have pushed life out of gear in Subramanya in Kadaba Taluk.

The road leading to Panje from Kumaradhare has been flooded and trees have been uprooted in several parts of the Taluk.

Also, a landslide occurred at Kadamakallu, Kalmakaru and around 150 houses lost connectivity after a bridge collapsed due to heavy rain near Kalmakaru pete.

Several houses near the Subramanya temple have been flooded due to the overflowing of the Darpana Theertha river.

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr K.V. Rajendra has requested the devotees not to visit the Kukke Subramanya temple for two days.
