Hindutva activist assaulted at Asaigoli

Deralakatte: A Bajrang Dal activist was assaulted at Vaibhav Bar at Asaigoli on Sunday night, September 30th. The victim of the attack has been identified as Ramesh (26).

According to sources, Shameer, Ilyas, Shawaz and Ramesh had some argument on a trivial issue. As the argument escalated Shameer, Ilyas and Shawaz hit Ramesh on his nose and in the process also bruised his hands. It is said that all of them were under the influence of alcohol.

Injured Ramesh was taken to a local hospital and treated as outpatient. While Shawaz was caught and handed over to police, others managed to run from the bar.

Police commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Uma Prashanth, police personnel from Konaje and Ullal visited the place. The incident is being investigated.
